Kimberly A. Colgate, J.D., LL.M

Kimberly A. Colgate graduated from high school at the age of 16 years old.

She graduated from Michigan State University at the age of 20.

She graduated from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Summa Cum Laude (#1 in her class) in 1979.  She earned her Master In Taxation from Wayne State University in 1987.

After four years of private practice, Kimberly became a full time faculty member at The Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

She taught Federal Income Tax, Estate & Gift Tax, Wills & Trusts and Administrative Law for 15 years.

During her tenure as a full time faculty member she engaged in the following professional

     Administrative Law Judge - Department of Natural Resources - State of Michigan

          Wetlands Hearings

          Solid Waste Mangement Hearings

          Oil & Gas Hearings

     Special Appointee of Govenor John Engler - State of Michigan

          Prepared a report, adopted by the State of Michigan, to reform the Michigan Unemployment
